| Well Rock On, only two weeks till AC/DC rocks us out of the church and Leah and I get hitched. She now knows that we are going to Montana for our honeymoon. It should be really relaxing and extremely beautiful. It will be cool to have my family down and to see my brother who just got back from Iraq. So I joined a hockey league down here. Surprisingly it's a pretty good league. I'm learning that most of the guys moved down from more northern states. So as the cold air moves in I really want to play football. Hahaha.....so ok I'm sitting here at work and listening to people talk about going to a "Mule Jump" this weekend. Just another reminder I'm somewhere different. | | |
| Well a lot has been going on down here. Leah and I went up to New Jersey for labor day and she had her first shower. As soon as they started doing the gifts the guys all left and played some ultimate frisbee. It was good to see everyone back home. We got a lot of stuff mainly for the kitchen. We had fun carrying it all on the plane to bring it back. My carry on was our dishes and leah's was a cooler we got with various gadgets inside. Just before we left for labor day I got the duplex that we will be living in. Its really nice (3 bed, 2 bath, and 2 car garage). So lately we've been moving all of my stuff and some of her stuff in along with all the gifts we've recieved. Our pre-marital counciling is almost over, and to be honest I don't want it to end. The Shultz's are awesome and have so much good insight from thier experiences. Our community group through church finally started up last week Thursday and thats going really well. We are studying 1 John and we are really digging in on community and what that looks like. On top of that I finally found a hockey league to play in. My first game was last night, wow am I out of shape. It was still fun though and Leah came to watch. The league isn't that bad but there is no stores in this area that sell hockey equipment. So I had to do some ordering online. Other than that the wedding keeps getting closer and closer. We are doing a lot of work and I think it will be pretty sweet. I think I'll be painting this weekend. We also finally got our rings that should be here this saturday. Thats about it, things are moving pretty fast. | | |
| Well this weekend Leah and I head up to Chicago for Bryan Dyers wedding. It should be fun. I'll get to see most of my old budies from Calvin. So Arkansas has been going well. I really like my job, I did a cost estimate for a Target in Texas and I'm working on a storm water pollution prevention plan for a Target in New York. It's cool that the sites are all over the country. Perhaps one of these days I'll start traveling to them. I went golfing with Leah's brother Ben this past weekend. It was fun, I didn't do so well except for one par and got a sweet sun burn. Currently Leah and I are looking for a place to live for when we get married. I finally booked the honeymoon but I can't say where we are going because Leah can't know. Ok that's all for now. | | |
| Well its been a couple of weeks here in Arkansas. I feel like I
haven't stopped since I got here. I was moving in, helping Leah
move, and starting my new job (which is awesome by the way). I
just finished training and on Monday will get into the real work.
I already tried finding a hockey team to get on, no luck yet. So
I really like it down here and things are going great.
